Anokion is focused on improving the treatment and outcomes of autoimmune disease with a proprietary antigen-specific immune tolerance technology. Starting with Anokion’s existing logo and palette, we created a new visual brand for their website and presentation; incorporating custom design elements, new photography of both their team and laboratories, and copy. These will give both investors and future employees a strong sense of where Anokion is going and what they have to offer. This robust website and visual brand will support the business as it matures into a full clinical stage company.

Avayle
Avayle provides strategic planning, global procurement, supply forecasting, and project management for clinical trials that help increase efficiency and reduce costs. We began our project with a name that reflects their benefits to clients and patients — Avayle means to help or benefit in middle english. The company identity communicates the interconectedness and many aspects of supplying and planning clinical trials. Building upon that look for the website are a set of custom icons and photographic combination images that blend with the elements in the logo to create a unique and dynamic visual brand.
Ziopharm
Ziopharm is developing the next generation of immuno-oncology medicines that target multiple types of cancers on two fronts — weaponizing the existing immune system and introducing new immune system elements. In addition, the company is targeting the cost and complexity of these therapies. We worked with Ziopharm to build a brand around this dual approach and to illustrate how the company’s technology works to combat cancer.
CARB-X
CARB-X is accelerating global antibacterial innovation by investing in the development of new antibiotics and other life-saving products to combat the most dangerous drug-resistant bacteria. Their projects represent the world’s largest pre-clinical and early development pipeline of antibiotics and other therapeutics, diagnostics, microbiome, vaccines, and devices. We partnered with CARB-X to create a brand that speaks to funders, scientists, and the general public. We updated their logo to be more legible, and to clearly define the organizations’s name. Setting up a plan for a robust website provided space for statistics, education on antibiotic resistance and overuse, resources, meetings, and a clear story about the organization’s value in supporting global health. Custom photos, icons, and infographics support their message and create the basis for a full organizational brand.
Prisyna
A division of Synedent, Prisyna is an Oral Health products company that bridges the gap between dental, oral and primary care. Using a science-based approach and naturally-derived ingredients, Prisyna mouthwashes clean teeth and gums and are alcohol-free.
We developed a company logo and a family of product logos that are consumer-friendly, communicate their science-based approach, and can be expanded upon as new products are developed.
To package the products, we designed a master graphic that feels clean and fresh and adapts to the specific product.
Prisyna’s e-commerce website promotes product sales and special offers while educating patients and providers. Information on mouth conditions, ingredients, and indications is all easy to find and the site’s modular design is set up to add products as they are available.
EnVision Performance Solutions
EnVision provides learning and performance solutions to corporate, small business, and not-for-profit organizations. Their holistic approach to understanding business needs and culture informs a set of robust, engaging, and effective learning solutions. Recently EnVision expanded its services and worked with us to rebrand and reorganize how they marketed their expertise on the web.
We began with a new visual identity that reflected the company’s integrated services and leveraged the green from their previous look while adding a fresh palette. Expanding upon that notion and working with the “building the bridge to improved performance” tagline, we created a site that clearly organized services, case studies, publications, and marketing content. Each service is represented by a custom icon, photo, and content template.
Mass Health & Hospital Association
To reflect the evolving world of healthcare in the Commonwealth, the Massachusetts Hospital Association rebranded to the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association. MHA is a member-based organization that provides leadership in public advocacy, education and information to represent the interest of its member hospitals and health systems and promote the overall health of the people of the Commonwealth.
Having worked with MHA for several years on multiple initiatives, we created a new identity that keeps the “MHA” acronym and symbolized the interconnection of Health and Hospitals with the central H that links the two colors in the center.
We worked with MHA on their new, user-focused website, creating a site architecture and design that brings value to members and clearly presents issues and a path to a rich information flow. Other projects include the naming and branding of a patient and caregiver safety initiative; and multiple print pieces to communicate statistics on hospital costs, advertising, member value reports, and electronic communications.
YouBelong
YouBelong has developed a unique model for community-based mental health care in resource-strained areas. Beginning in East Africa, YouBelong will pilot their program to bring people out of institutions back to their communities. Key to this approach is support for community and family involvement to help rebuild self esteem, and establish wellbeing for vulnerable people.
We worked with YouBelong to create an identity for the organization that communicates the sense of community and inter-related relationships that are the heart of their approach. From there, we crafted an overarching web architecture to present their information, designed a site that evokes community and connection in their location, and built an infographic to clearly illustrate their model of care.
BWH: Heart & Vascular Center
Working within the existing web structure at BWH, we created a new, updated design model to present a Center of Excellence — coordinated care spanning departments and divisions. Beginning with the Heart & Vascular Center, we worked with the marketing team to plan and architect a patient-friendly way to encompass all information relating to heart and vascular issues. We designed a highly visual interface to lead patients to information they need as well as to weave together information from the departments of medicine and surgery.
Included in the site are features such as an innovation timeline, patient and physician resources, and a “by the numbers” infographic to show in a glance the vast array of activities that happen in a given year.
Vivli
Vivli is a platform for the global sharing of clinical trials data. The core of Vivli is an enhanced search engine to index clinical trial data that will host data as well as connect to other data repositories. Researchers will be able to request data sets based upon a variety of search criteria.
The name Vivli is a shortened form of the Greek word for library. A library holds and protects information and then shares it for the public good. We saw this as the perfect metaphor for Vivli. Once we had the name, we designed a logo that combines the ideas of data, books on a shelf, the globe, and a “V”. Infographics illustrate how the platform works to both contributors of data and researchers looking for information. All of this is combined in the Vivli website that communicates the mission, vision, and workings of Vivli and will eventually link users to the database.
