Acnos Pharma provides global clinical trial supply and general pharmaceutical sales in the EU. The company’s expert team and strategic location ensures that medicines are delivered in a streamlined and efficient manner.
We partnered with Acnos to rebrand the company in a way that focuses on service, expertise, and results. The new logo takes the Acnos “A” and turns it into a dynamic arrow pointing forward with colors that converge to a single point — reflecting all of the moving parts that coordinate within the company to deliver services. This idea then evolved into a set of visuals that use the arrow to show the primary process in the center (medicines deliver to patients) surrounded by all of the services (warehousing, consulting, bar codes, etc.) that contribute to the process. Coordinating infographics and icons provide additional items in the toolkit to highlight services and value.
Talaris is developing a single-dose cell therapy that seeks to free organ transplant recipients of the burdens and toxicities of lifelong immunosuppression, without rejecting their transplanted organ. We began our engagement wih the name — Talaris is adapted from “talaria,” the winged sandals worn by Greek messenger god Hermes, which gave him protection. In a similar way, the facilitating cells central to the platform protect and deliver other immune cells to safety within the recipient patient. The logo is representative of the facilitating cells in combination with the patient and donor cells. Moving forward with the brand, we wanted to represent a wide variety of patients and underscore their experience with the tagline “Live your life. Beyond the transplant.” Custom infographics explain the process and communicate the strong clinical results already established for the therapy as the company moves forward into a phase 3 trial.
Toxikon partners with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies to deliver exceptional preclinical testing services from protocol design through clinical submission. Building from the logo we designed for Toxikon in 2010 we updated the company messaging, tagline, and all visual brand elements to clearly differentiate them from other CROs. The new tagline Right. From the start. communicates the company’s commitment to quality and to the complete service offerings in testing for devices, drugs, and combination products. From there we built a new set of brand assets identifying services, industry areas, and resource types. All of this comes together in service-centric website that allows users to filter by topic, access resources, and provide feedback.
Verenium was the first public company to have the capabilities to create and produce cellulosic ethanol and other biofuels. It was established
as a merger of two companies: Celunol and Diversa. We were asked to name the new entity and produced Verenium which evokes the “green millennium” — looking towards a oil-free future.
The tagline The Nature of
Energy, derives meaning from the natural, renewable biomass used in cellulosic ethanol. It communicates the idea that this process is intrinsic to the future of energy production. The Verenium logo evokes the ideas of infinity, of natural elements, and of the enzyme technology that is at the core of their science. The company website established a visual brand for the company and features an introductory video that makes the case for cellulosic ethanol. The visual brand is continued in their annual report, presentations, and other collateral material that we created for the company until the biofuels unit was sold.
When the owners of Maran Printing decided to re-invent their business model and rename the company Signature Printing, the assignment was to brand Signature to separate the company from other print brokers, emphasizing the knowledge and value they bring to the printing process from many years of running a print shop.
The company identity clearly focuses on the name. The custom-crafted typography speaks to designers of great attention to detail. The tagline: Print management & consulting. Redefined. serves to set them apart from the usual print brokers. One brochure focus on the many different definitions of the word signature, relating each to a service that they offer, while the second features ways to leverage black and white printing for maximum effect. We provided the overall concept and writing as well as the design for both pieces. Branding efforts have continued over the years with specialty pieces, their website, advertising, and holiday promotions.
